The Caribbean is warm enough to swim year-round, but the experience changes dramatically between the dry winter high season and the humid, storm-prone summer.
Month-by-month
- December–April: 25–27°C, low humidity, low rainfall — the classic winter escape.
- May–June: 27–28°C, calm before the hurricane season; great value and fewer crowds.
- July–October: 28–30°C, warmest water but also hurricane season and higher humidity.
- Southern Caribbean (Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire): sits below the hurricane belt and stays dry year-round.
